Sunday 5th June 2022 is World Environment Day, the United Nations’ principle vehicle for raising awareness about issues affecting the general wellbeing of the natural environment inhabited by all of us. It emphasises the need to conserve natural resources and the natural environment whilst also seeking to repair any damage done finding ways to reverse these trends.
Part of the Thrive Childcare and Education ethos is a commitment to the preservation of our planet in order that the children we care for, and future generations, can still experience the awe and wonder of the natural world we live in.
Across our sites, the children have been engaged in various activities to mark the occasion.
Our latest acquisition, Homestead Nursery in Frodsham Cheshire were focussing on the environment and ran a committee meeting to decide on how to better the environment.
As part of Thrive’s commitment to teaching children about the importance of looking after the environment, Holyrood Nursery Salford Royal were engaged in litter picking. The children had a lot of fun.
Thrive Childcare and Education would like to say thank everyone for taking part in efforts to protect out beautiful planet!
