Our Nursery Manager, Emma, has 17 years of experience working with children of all ages. “I began my career as a Supervisor and quickly progressed to Assistant manager. I was then promoted to nursery manager at our sister nursery where we were proud to achieve an Outstanding grade on our first Ofsted Inspection. I then returned to the same nursery as Manager and have loved leading the team in this wonderful nursery. I am extremely passionate about how important the early years are in a childs life, building the foundations to their future life and learning. Working with these children is a genuinely fulfilling experience I am proud to be a part of. I work hard to build important bonds with our families and love sharing joyful interactions with the children.”
We can guide you through every step of your childcare journey and help you discover everything you need to know about our nursery.
An excellent nursery, would highly recommend sending your child here. A wide of different activities are available, which means the child will learn through lots of play. The food served is also extremely varied, letting the child experience lots of different textures and tastes.
This nursery is brilliant and my son settled instantly. They all have such a warm presence and he loves all the staff. Definitely would recommend it to everyone! Can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for us and for settling my family into Townhouse, after lockdown.
I just wanted to say how happy and content my son Oscar has been since joining Townhouse nursery, his development is so clearly a result of spending time at the nursery. The staff at Townhouse are of the highest standard. It’s so refreshing to have full transparency of his day and activities and it feels like I have almost been there during the day, with him which is very pleasing for a Daddy!
We love to get outside at Corner House Lawton Road! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum. The nursery has a large outdoor space that toddlers and pre-school have free flow access to and Babies have a designated area for them to use. We are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.
As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We take children out in groups, come rain or shine, to take part in a variety of activities set up by our staff. Staff work closely with the community providing the children in their care with learning opportunities by visiting the library, local parks, train station and the local nature reserve. The children also take part in the annual Alsager Carnival Parade, Townhouse in the Park and Alsager Festive Light switch on in the festive months. Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside. During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature.
Our youngest children are often seen out in our triple buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery. All children leave wellington boots and waterproof clothing at nursery so they can be appropriately dressed for all seasons! We also offer stay and play sessions to serve the families in the community.
Our curriculum includes a Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage that offer hands-on approaches to encourage the skills your child will need in the nursery and beyond:
