Corner House Nursery Astbury

A home away from home for your child to thrive.

Your local nursery in Congleton

Corner House Nursery Astbury has been a well-established and trusted nursery in the beautiful town of Congleton.

With a reputation for providing high-quality childcare and our first OFSTED inspection being outstanding in August 2018, we feel when visiting you can feel our nursery exudes our ethos and focus on children first. We pride ourselves on creating a secure, warm, home away from home atmosphere for children and parents to feel comfortable and confident in our setting.

We provide childcare for children from 0 to 4 years. With our lovingly restored and re-designed interior providing bright, airy spaces for play and learning as well as our fantastic outdoor space for all ages, we can offer families a secure and stimulating setting where children can thrive.

We are open throughout the year for 52 weeks from 7.30am to 6pm for morning, afternoon and full day sessions as well as working in partnership with Cheshire East Council to provide funding to eligible families. We also have our own car park for drop-offs and pick-ups for convenience.

Parent Reviews

Claire, Current Parent

You really do care for the children as if they are your own. Nothing is too much trouble. I love the activities that you with the children. The facebook updates and the daily diaries used to communicate are great.

Lynsey, Current Parent

My first impressions were very positive. Everywhere was clean and smelled beautiful. Both the 0-2 and 2-4 rooms were very well decorated and resourced. Ellie loved exploring both rooms and really enjoyed getting to know Emma.

Individual care and attention is given daily. Great activities, great food! Staff always notice children’s individual interest which is fantastic. Friendly and welcoming staff that have a wonderful rapport with the children.

Outdoors and Nature

We love to get outside at Corner House Astbury! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum.

As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We take children out in groups, come rain or shine, to take part in a variety of activities set up by our staff. Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside. During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature as we are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.

We always make strides to be an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can to make the world a cleaner place We also have a connection with our local Litter Picking Society and do this with our little ones 4 times a year!

Our youngest children are often seen out in our buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery. All children leave wellington boots and waterproof clothing at nursery so they can be appropriately dressed for all seasons!
