Parent Feedback

Individual care and attention is given daily. Great activities, great food! Staff always notice children’s individual interest which is fantastic. Friendly and welcoming staff that have a wonderful rapport with the children.

Claire, Current Parent

‘The whole team is amazing and can’t do enough.
My kid loves coming to play and is his key worker. They have been great recently at helping with potty training as well, which has been incredibly helpful at home.’

Rob G

‘Our son started at Astbury in Autumn 2023 (age 11 months) and has settled from day one. All the staff know his name across the nursery (not just in the baby room) and have always been so incredibly welcoming and supportive.
They are now helping him gradually settle into the toddler room and he’s already
completely at ease in there. We receive updates through the nursery app and ideas for weekend activities. I would definitely recommend the nursery – it’s a lovely, clean and super-friendly environment.’

Outdoors and Nature at Astbury Nursery

We love to get outside at Corner House Astbury! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum.

As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We take children out in groups, come rain or shine, to take part in a variety of activities set up by our staff. Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside. During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature as we are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.

We always make strides to be an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can to make the world a cleaner place We also have a connection with our local Litter Picking Society and do this with our little ones 4 times a year!

Our youngest children are often seen out in our buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery. All children leave wellington boots and waterproof clothing at nursery so they can be appropriately dressed for all seasons!
