The children and the team at Holyrood Swinton had a lovely day celebrating 20 years of being an outstanding nursery.
Our excellent, long-standing Nursery Manager, Sarah Fisher, told us about her time at Holyrood Nursery Swinton:
“I started here as a college student in 2006 and worked up from a supply practitioner to practitioner then senior, deputy and then manager. All 3 of my children have been through the nursery from babies to pre-school and now out of school club. I love the family feel of the nursery, a lot of us have been here between 10 and 20 years.”
Holyrood Nursery Swinton has been a great stepping stone for our team members in terms of career progression. One of our Regional support Managers started her career with Thrive Childcare and Education here at this nursery. Hayley Walker joined shortly after it opened and took on several responsibilities that expanded her knowledge.
Taking on a variety of duties helped Hayley progress to Senior Practitioner in 2004. Eight months later, she was offered the position of Deputy Nursery Manager.
