Since starting at Schoolhouse Nursery, we have had excellent service throughout. The staff are really friendly and organised, the activities are well thought out, fun and educational and the food is fantastic. My little one settled really quickly and loves it there. It has a real homely feel. I’d highly recommend this nursery, we are lucky to have it on our doorstep!
We moved away from the area late 2021. We have found that no other nursery or childcare has compared to the level of attention and care she was given at homestead. Since we have moved away our daughter has repeatedly asked to go back because she misses all of the staff and children. We never had a single issue with the nursery and felt that, as parents, we were listened to. We wish they moved with us. The staff here are an amazing bunch and you can trust them to take the best care of your child.
I cannot recommend Homestead highly enough. The staff are amazing – skilled, knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, caring, fun and professional. They offer exceptional care to the children who attend. The nursery welcomes the involvement of parents and has always made the time to talk with parents. My son has loved his time in all of the rooms and has thrived in their care.
We love to get outside at Corner House Frodsham nursery! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum.
As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We recognise the importance of outdoor learning, whatever the weather. We have umbrellas, wellies and puddle suits for rainy day and sunhats and shady nooks for sunny days. There are grassed and hard play areas which allow for a wide range of activities, from bike rides to bug hunts! Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside.
During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature. Our youngest children are often seen out in our triple buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery.
We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can in order to make the world a cleaner place! We are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.

Taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that live differently, or are in disadvantaged situations and understand how we can help them. Fundraising events are good fun and a great way to bring children, families and communities together. Some of the fundraisers we have taken part in are: Children In Need, sponsored toddles, Macmillan coffee morning, superhero days and garden parties.
Our nurseries offer free settling in sessions. Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt and become more familiar with the staff and children, but also help you adapt to their surroundings and feel safe and secure when your little one joins us.
