Parent Feedback

‘Absolutely fantastic nursery! We moved here from another setting and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Girls are fab and my little one has made lots of lovely friends.
Key workers spend the time and effort to talk you through anything and everything that you may be unsure of, even to help
with the funded hours that confuse every parent I know.
They put lots of effort into events, nativities, Valentine’s, stay and plays and group events, like walks in the forest for all the parents to join too.’

‘My current 8-year-old attended and my now 4-year-old is currently in Corner House Nursery Frodsham. The staff haven’t changed much during this time and they are the true asset of the place. From my firstborn’s first day until now I literally cannot fault them. They get to know each individual child
so well. They know their likes and dislikes, what makes them tick and how to encourage the best in them. The level of play (teaching) is second to none. My eldest was so ready for school when the time came and I can see my 4-year-old will be the same. He’s currently learning his phonics and truly finds it fun! He’s so excited to tell us the new sound he’s learnt. The food has always been exceptional. I remember during lockdown having to contact the nursery for their sausage casserole recipe my son missed it so much!’

Outdoors and Nature

We love to get outside at Corner House Frodsham nursery! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum.

As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We recognise the importance of outdoor learning, whatever the weather. We have umbrellas, wellies and puddle suits for rainy day and sunhats and shady nooks for sunny days. There are grassed and hard play areas which allow for a wide range of activities, from bike rides to bug hunts! Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside.

During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature.
Our youngest children are often seen out in our triple buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery.

We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can in order to make the world a cleaner place! We are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.
