What’s included in your tour

Welcome and introduction

a member of the management team will explain the nursery’s approach, routine, fees, and availability etc.

Tour of the rooms

you’ll see where children learn, eat, sleep, and observe and the interactions between the children and practitioners

Outdoor area

you’ll see the garden/playground and outdoor provision.

Meet the team

you may meet the key person or room leader who would look after your child.

Daily routine

expect information about meals, sleeping arrangements, activities, toileting, drop-off/pick-up and settling in.

Policies and practicalities

illness, medication, allergies, safeguarding, security, communication with parents and what your child needs to bring.

What happens on a tour?

You’ll meet a member of the nursery management team, see the rooms and outdoor space, and have time to ask anything you like.

Is there any obligation?

None at all. A tour is simply a chance to see if we feel right for your family.

When should I book?

Places fill quickly, so we recommend visiting early to secure the sessions and start date you want. You’re welcome to visit before your baby is born.

What’s included in the fees?

Everything your child needs through the day: breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks, milk and drinks, nappies, wipes, formula and sun cream. Just bring a spare set of clothes and any comforter your child likes.

Do you offer part-time or flexible sessions?

Yes. You can choose mornings, afternoons or full days, and most of our nurseries are open 7.30am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year. Your nursery manager will talk you through availability on your tour.

How will my child settle in?

Every child gets free settling-in sessions, at least three, so they can get to know their key person and new surroundings at their own pace. We’ll work with you to decide if more are needed.

How will I know how my child’s day went?

Through the ParentZone app you’ll get photos, updates and development notes from your child’s key person, plus regular parents’ evenings and the option to meet their key person at any time.

How do you keep my child safe?

Every team member is fully vetted before working with children, our buildings have secure door entry, and children are only released to authorised adults. A high proportion of our team hold paediatric first aid qualifications, above the regulatory minimum.

Do you support children with additional needs?

Yes. We work in partnership with you, external agencies and your local authority to help your child reach the best possible outcomes.
