Day Nurseries Reviews

What Parents Say About Our Nursery

My son has absolutely thrived since joining this nursery from another local one. His confidence has gone from strength to strength and he can’t wait to go each morning. On the occasions where he has had a wobble about me dropping him off, the staff are always there to help and welcome him, so any tears never last long. The outdoor area is lovely and I love that he comes home messy, sweaty and covered in dirt, a true sign of a good day!

Daisy, M

‘Wonderful nursery and wonderful staff! Our daughters love it. They are nurturing and provide excellent opportunities for engaging activities with fantastic outdoor learning facilities! Would definitely recommend it.’

Rosie M

‘We’ve used Corner House Gillsland for a year now and have experienced all rooms across our 2 children who go here. We’re delighted with the nursery, the staff are consistent and many have worked here for a number of years. Each room takes up a floor in the house and has its own assigned garden with lots to explore. The children are taken on trips to local parks and to explore the local areas (shops, library) as well as having activities brought to them (eg football). My children have formed strong attachments to the teachers in each room and race in each morning, we couldn’t be happier.’

Outdoor Discovery: Growing, Learning, and Playing in Nature

We love to get outside here at Corner House Nursery. We have a large outdoor play area where children find opportunities to have fresh air and fun in a safe and secure area.

Featured in our outdoor environment we have a sandpit, a story corner, a natural construction area, a climbing frame, a mud kitchen, a basketball net and much more. As well as these fabulous outdoor play areas we also enjoy walks in our local area to allow our children to absorb the sights and sounds of our local community. Our nursery is also lucky enough to have access to a dedicated area within the Craiglockhart Nature Reserve through the Forest Schools Association.

We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can in order to make the world a cleaner place! We are a registered ECO-Nursery and are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.
