What Parents Say About Our Nursery

‘My little one settled instantly in Thrive Teviot House Nursery thanks to the wonderful, kind, hands-on staff here who treat him with respect and always have smiles on their faces. The nursery have a wide range of activities available and themes that change and frequently update parents on the wellbeing
of their children. They spend a lot of time outdoors and experiencing sensory play, which my child loves, and accommodate nap schedules and dietary requirements with zero issues. The staff and management team are always on hand to answer any questions we have and always seem so thrilled to see my little one, which makes me feel calm. When I pick my son up, he’s always smiling and happy, and there is nothing more I could ask for from this lovely setting.’

Outdoor Discovery: Growing, Learning, and Playing in Nature

We love to get outside at Teviot House Nursery. We have a large outdoor play area where children find opportunities to have fresh air and fun in a safe and secure area.

Featured in our outdoor environment we have a sandpit, a story corner, a natural construction area, a climbing frame, a mud kitchen, a basketball net and much more. As well as these fabulous outdoor play areas we also enjoy walks in our local area to allow our children to absorb the sights and sounds of our local community. Our nursery is also lucky enough to have access to a dedicated area within the Craiglockhart Nature Reserve through the Forest Schools Association.

We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can in order to make the world a cleaner place! We are a registered ECO-Nursery and are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.
