Culcheth Day Nursery has been a well-established and trusted nursery in Culcheth, close to Warrington. With a reputation for providing high-quality childcare, our nursery commits to creating a home away from home atmosphere for children and parents to feel comfortable and confident in our setting.
We provide childcare for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. Our nursery is carefully designed and has a varied and plentiful range of resources and equipment, we also have our own private car park for drop-offs and pick-ups. We are open throughout the year for mornings, afternoons and full days as well as working in partnership with the local Council to provide funding to eligible families.

During my career I have had the privilege of working within nurseries in varying settings across the Northwest, including inner city and rural settings, giving me a wide range of experiences meeting the needs of different families. I have progressed from nursery nurse to an experienced nursery manager with over 5 years of nursery manager experience.
I enjoy my work immensely. I feel privileged to spend my days with inquisitive young minds and take the greatest care to ensure each child’s well-being and positive development is met. I also believe in taking great care of my colleagues within the nursery to ensure they are happy and given the tools to meet there full potential.
I look forward to bringing my experience to complement the already established team and work closely with Louise who has been with the Culcheth team for 17 years as a Deputy Nursery Manager. Lou is very passionate about her job role and very passionate about our nursery. She always ensures the children are her number one priority and always come first. Seeing the children happy, smiling and enjoying their day and progressing in their development makes her very proud, as she knows we are fulfilling our roles to the highest quality that we should be.
We can guide you through every step of your childcare journey and help you discover everything you need to know about our nursery.
Both my daughters have attended Culcheth day nursery since they were 8months old- our youngest is still there and thoroughly enjoys it. My eldest daughter is now at primary school but attends both the breakfast care & link club provided by the nursery & comes home each day telling me about all the exciting activities that she has been involved in even complaining on the days that she doesn’t attend or if I pick her up early. The love and care that the staff give to each child that attends is why I’d highly recommend this nursery/link club.
We love to get outside at Culcheth Day Nursery! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum.
As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We take children out in groups, come rain or shine, to take part in a variety of activities set up by our staff.
Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside. During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature.
Our youngest children are often seen out in our triple buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery. All children leave wellington boots and waterproof clothing at nursery so they can be appropriately dressed for all seasons!
We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can in order to make the world a cleaner place! We are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.
Our curriculum includes a Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage that offer hands-on approaches to encourage the skills your child will need in the nursery and beyond:

Taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that live differently, or are in disadvantaged situations and understand how we can help them. Some of the fundraisers we have taken part in are: Children In Need, sponsored toddles, Macmillan coffee morning, superhero days and garden parties.
Our nurseries offer free Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt and become more familiar with the staff and children, but also help you adapt to their surroundings and feel safe and secure when your little one joins us.
As part of our curriculum we are committed to ensuring children are physically active for a minimum of 3 hours per day. Physical Development Champions at each nursery create and design specific activities based around movement, raising the heartbeat and exercising the cardiovascular system.
Our nurseries provide an extensive range of resources to encourage children to learn through play. We favour naturalistic learning resources and make fantastic use of our outdoor equipment, promoting free-flow and Child-led learning.
Here at Culcheth Day Nursery we have our very own qualified Nursery Chef, Kim, who creates nutritionally balanced rolling menus.
We are happy to cater for children with differing dietary requirements and of course, adapt the menu to suit all stages of weaning for our youngest children.
Our menus are designed to give your little one the very best start in life. We make this possible by supplying our children with home cooked nutritional food, bursting with fresh fruit and vegetables and all the essential ingredients necessary for healthy physical and mental development. Whenever possible we source our food locally and organically, including seasonal vegetables and fruit into our menus. Our children have a choice of milk or water to drink throughout the day.
We are happy to cater for a whole range of dietary/religious/cultural requirements. Please speak to our Nursery Chef for more information.
We do not add additional salt or sugar. Where possible we purchase products with reduced salt and lower sugar.
Our staff are trained in First Aid and our Nursery Chef is experienced in catering for allergies. You are more than welcome to meet with our Chef to discuss your requirements.
