Tots n Tykes Nursery has been a well-established and trusted nursery set in the heart of Pudsey’s community and supporting children and their families in the area since 1990. With a reputation for providing high-quality childcare, our nursery commits to creating a home away from home atmosphere for children and parents to feel comfortable and confident in our setting.
We provide childcare for children from birth to 5 years. Our nursery is carefully designed and has a varied and plentiful range of resources and equipment, we also have our own private car park for drop-offs and pick-ups. We are open throughout the year for mornings, afternoons and full days as well as working in partnership with the local Council to provide funding to eligible families.
We can guide you through every step of your childcare journey and help you discover everything you need to know about our nursery.
We’ve always been very happy with the staff at Tots n Tykes and the service they provide. We know the staff know our children really well and they always plan activities that keep them interested and excited. It’s reassuring when you have to be away at work knowing that your children are cared for in such a happy environment.
Dropping Harry off at nursery for the very first time was a nerve wracking experience for me, but not for him! The staff at Tots an Tykes have been so kind, welcoming and supportive and as he has begun to develop well spending the days with them and the other children I can see we definitely made the right choice to send him hear. We’re updated daily on everything he is doing and couldn’t be happier with how well he has settled in
Tots N Tykes is a safe and happy environment where children can have fun and grow. The staff have always been very supportive to us as parents, when faced with new challenges. the additional activities offered to the children, such as forest school and swimming has meant that they are kept interested, until it’s finally time to make that next step to school.
We love to get outside at Tots n Tykes Nursery! We have substantial gardens providing opportunities for outdoor learning across all areas of the curriculum.
As well as access to our fabulous outdoor play areas, children of all ages enjoy regular walks in the local area. We take children out in groups, come rain or shine, to take part in a variety of activities set up by our staff. Wherever possible we try to take our indoor learning outside. During our time outside we teach children how to assess risk, problem solve, share, gather and utilise from nature.
Our youngest children are often seen out in our triple buggies enjoying the fresh air, sights and sounds of the local community. We use high visibility vests to keep children safe when out on trips away from the nursery. All children leave wellington boots and waterproof clothing at nursery so they can be appropriately dressed for all seasons!
We are committed to being an environmentally friendly nursery, making changes wherever we can to make the world a cleaner place! We are committed to teach our children about their environment and the effect we have on it in our day to day lives.Contact Us

We are happy to cater for children with differing dietary requirements and of course, adapt the menu to suit all stages of weaning for our youngest children.
Our menus are designed to give your little one the very best start in life. We make this possible by supplying our children with home cooked nutritional food, bursting with fresh fruit and vegetables and all the essential ingredients necessary for healthy physical and mental development.
Whenever possible we source our food locally and organically, including seasonal vegetables and fruit into our menus. As we prepare the food on-site it means we can also cater for individual dietary requirements, food allergies or coeliac disease.
